Third Party Inspection Program
Qualified companies and individuals licensed in the District of Columbia may provide inspection services to builders, developers, and others who need inspection services under DC’s Third Party Inspection Program, which certifies third party inspectors and allows them to conduct these types of inspections:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Mechanical
- Construction
- Fire protection
- Elevator
Builders, developers, and others must file requests with the Inspections Division to use third party inspection services. All inspections must be performed in accordance with the Procedure Manual and are subject to random audits by DCRA inspectors. The Third Party Inspection Program is authorized under DCMR 12, Section 109.4.
